Friday, February 17 – Medina Ice Festival Features More than 120 Sculptures
The largest ice festival in Northeast Ohio, the Medina Ice Festival, kicks off this weekend. The 29th Annual Medina Ice Festival starts on Friday at 5 p.m. and runs through Monday. There will be more than 120 ice sculptures on display in Historic Medina Square, the South Town District, and the surrounding areas. At night, the sculptures will be highlighted by LED lights that change colors.
There will be speed carvings on Friday night followed by the lighting of the Fire & Ice Tower. There will also be individual ice carving competitions on Saturday and team carving competitions on Sunday.
This is a free event that is open to everyone. You can bring a pet, provided it is on a leash. There is plenty of free public parking in the area.
