Do you recall back in May when a limo full of nurses celebrating nuptials of one of the passengers caught fire in California? Family members of the women who died have recently filed a wrongful death lawsuit against several companies associated with the limo, Huffington Post San Francisco reports.
The families’ claims are that the companies were responsible for design and manufacturing defects of the 1999 Lincoln Town Car. Prosecutors concluded no criminal charges were warranted; that the air suspension failure allowed the driveshaft to contact the floor pan, causing friction that started the deadly fire. The lawsuits name, Limo Stop Inc., Ford Motor Co., Bay Area Limousine Repair Inc., Accubuilt Inc., Accubuilt Acquisition Holdings Inc., and DaBryan Coach Builders Inc. Do you think the victims’ families will be compensated for the lives lost on what should’ve been a very fun and exciting night?
