Passengers, JetBlue Settle Lawsuit Stemming from Pilot “MeltDown”

It’s being reported that a lawsuit is being settles between passengers and JetBlue airways after a Pilot had a, “meltdown” during a March 2012 flight from NYC to Las Vegas. According to The Washington Post, “Passengers claimed JetBlue was “grossly negligent” in allowing Capt. Clayton Osbon to fly.” It was alarming to passengers when Osbon yelled about terrorism and Sept. 11 during flight which ultimately made an emergency landing in Amarillo, Texas. JetBlue spokeswoman says that the lawsuit was settled in April. Terms were not disclosed. According to the Washington Post:

A spokeswoman for the attorney representing 34 passengers confirmed Wednesday the lawsuit was “resolved amicably by the parties.”
