Founding partner M. David Smith was a Cleveland native. He served as Prosecutor for the Village of Bentleyville. Prior to entering the practice of law, David was an agent for the Internal Revenue Service. In practice, David represented a host of business and commercial entities with various legal and business concerns as well as representing personal injury clients. David was a member of the Ohio and Florida bars and was licensed to practice in the federal district courts in Ohio and Florida.
With more than 30 years of trial experience, David was a successful litigator and formidable opponent in the courtroom where he was known for his sharp wit and decisive action. At the same time, he had a profound concern for the disadvantaged and less fortunate members of society and is well remembered for his generosity.
